HKPC Developed Software To Prevent Information Leakage

The e-factory of Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) has recently developed a computer monitoring and security system, IP-guard, which enables employers to monitor computer usage of employees in order to prevent information leakage at a real-time basis.

It was shown on a survey conducted by the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre last year, computers of more than 80% interviewees have been intruded and data in the computers have been copied or damaged. We can observe how emergence it is for corporate to safeguard their information.

ˇ§IP-guard can real-time monitor and record screen snapshots of up to 16 workstations,ˇ¨ said Mr. Stanley K. O. Chik, \Senior Consultant of e-Factory.

According to Mr. Amen Chan Yat-man, Principal Consultant of e-Factory, expected that more than 500 enterprises will be using the system by this year.
