Hong Kong Productivity Council Developed IP-guard System
In the knowledge-based economy, information asset is so important that it is the key to success. e-Factory of the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) has recently developed a computer monitoring and security system, IP-guard, to help local industrial and commercial enterprises protect valuable information.
According to Mr. Weiman Chu, Director (Innovation Process & Automation), HKPC, more and more local
industrial enterprises establish their production lines in the Mainland. Therefore, IP-guard is
developed to help enterprises prevent information from leaking out when it is transferred
amongst different operations through Internet and to better achieve the concept of
ˇ§e-factoryˇ¨ as well.
The system provides track records of computer usage. It also provides real-time
monitoring and recording of screen snapshots of computers in different locations.
It helps enterprises manage their business more efficient and cost-effective.
